Recent floods in North Korea may have killed as many as 10,000 people.

A charity group in South Korea says up to a million people have been affected by the floods.

Heavy rains fell across the Korean peninusla throughout July, but the impact of flooding in North Korea has until now been largely unknown.

Charity and aid group, Good Friends in Seoul, believes as many as 10,000 people may be dead or missing.

South Korea recently suspended food aid to the North after it test-fired a series of missiles on July 7.

Pyongyang has rejected an offer of help from South Korea’s Red Cross aid group.
