TIMELINE IS STILL UNDER DEVELOPMENT

This timeline shows current and past tropical storms starting from January 2005 active in Atlantic or Pacific Ocean.

According to wikipedia this timeline categorizes tropical storms to depressions (DEP, wind speed < 62km/h), storms (STO, > 62km/h) and hurricanes (HUR) or typhoons (TYP, > 118km/h).

Cat3 (western) and Cat4 (eastern) with wind speed greater than 100 kn or 185 km/h storms are color highlighted.

Clicking on a bar opens a bubble with information about maximum wind and gusts speed. The bubble title is linked to the map and shows the storm in the center of the map. Daily Terra is used by default, so in best and most cases you will see the shape of the storm at its maximum power.

Otherwise when region is not captured by Daily Terra (black) press ‘1′ or choose ‘GSAT’ or any other layer from the list. The tropical storms extension is enabled and you may see the pathes of others storms as well, data range is set to last 30 days.
